    ISD 748 families:

We are just a few short weeks away from the start of our 2023-2024 school year!

Please share this with your friends and neighbors to make sure they are receiving communications from the District. Families may update their Skylert preferences by logging into Skyward Family Access and selecting “Skylert” from the left menu. Families may add up to 6 phone numbers, 4 email addresses, and 6 numbers for text messaging.

Bus Routes/Transportation - Skyward Family Access
Most bus routes are completed and are available in Skyward Family Access. Bus route details will be added as more families complete their Back to School Online Registration form. Transportation details for students transported on special education routes will be available the week of Aug 28.

Families may also view route information in our free mobile app, Sartell-St. Stephen Schools. Select the “Student Info” infographic and input your credentials. You’ll be able to view bus route information, nutrition services account updates, library details, and more.

Back to School Online Registration - Skyward Family Access
Skyward may prompt you to create a new password for security purposes. Using a computer/laptop, Family 1 head of household users should log into their Skyward Family Access accounts (you may be prompted to create a new password due to security updates) and click on the Back-To-School Registration Checklist button under ‘Online Forms’ (left menu tab) (NOT New Student Enrollment). This form needs to be completed for each child annually. Questions about accessing Skyward? Please contact Sue Fibranz.

    Contact Lists/Address Books
If you have specific questions about your child and their school experience, please contact your building’s administrative assistant:

    Sabre Spotlight/Community Education Catalog
Our District newsletter, the Sabre Spotlight, is combined with the Community Education Catalog, and was delivered to mailboxes on Friday, August 18. Extra printed copies are available at each District building, the city halls of Sartell and St. Stephen, and the Sartell Community Center. Electronic copies are available online at www.isd748.org/SabreSpotlight.

    Nutrition Services
Breakfast and lunch meals are free this year. The state’s Free School Meals program will cover the cost of one breakfast meal and one lunch meal for every student daily; however, the cost of a la carte items (including extra milk, other drinks, or extra meal items) will not be covered. Students will need to have funds in their meal accounts to purchase any additional food items. Please visit www.isd748.org/NutritionNews for details. All families should fill out the Meal Benefits section in the Back to School online registration form in Skyward.

    Unique First Days of School
Students in PreK-5, 6, and 9 will experience enhanced school + home and classroom + home relationships thanks, in part, to our unique first day of school events for students, families, and staff:

    • Sartell High School - Sabre Splash for Grade 9 and new students

    • Sartell Middle School - Sabre Soar for Grade 6
SMS debuted Sabre Soar in the 2021-2022 school year for 6th graders to have a similar experience to high school students: being able to connect with peers, get to know teachers, and find their way in a new building.

    • Oak Ridge Early Learning Center, Pine Meadow Primary, and Riverview Intermediate School - Sabre Launch for PreK-Grade 5
Sabre Launch started in the 2022-2023 school year to nurture the home-to-school partnership and offer more individualized time for families and their child’s classroom teacher to establish a personal connection while introducing our youngest learners to their new learning environment.
