K-12 Students

New Families to the Sartell-St. Stephen School District need to create a new Skyward Account by doing the following:

1. Use a valid email address and Request Skyward Family Access for temporary login credentials to the Skyward Family Access online enrollment.
2. After filling out the request form, you will receive an email with your Skyward enrollment application credentials and a link to the enrollment application.

Current Families in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District should do the following: 

1. Log into Skyward Family Access
2. Choose "New Student Online Enrollment" in the left-hand column.​

2. Family/Guardian Information
3. Medical/Dental Information
4. Emergency Contact Information
5. Requested Documents - See Step 3: Submit Required Forms for further details

Immunization RequirementS from MDE

Proof of Residency Options

In the enrollment portal, Families are asked to upload the following required documents: 

• Birth Certificate
• Current Immunization Record or Immunization Exemption Form
  • Needs to show the student's first and last names and date of birth
  • Please see the above referenced document from the MN Department of Health 
• Current Proof of Residency
  • Please use the link above to view accepted forms
  • Most common are a signed legal rental agreement, signed purchase agreement or closing papers, property tax statement, or utility bill for the residence
  • Document must be current and, if a utility bill, it must show the service address, not only the mailing address
  • Document must include the name of at least one parent or legal guardian of the student 

Please include the following, if applicable:

• IEP/Special Education Records 
• Legal Guardian Relationship Verification
  • Only legal parents should enroll a student. If you are not the legal parent of this student, one of the following documents will be required:
    • Legal Guardian - Legal court documentation
    • Foster - Legal court documentation or foster placement letter from the county social worker
    • Court Orders - Documents related to guardianship or custody limitations, if applicable

Please note: Any missing documentation may delay the enrollment process.

Unable to scan/upload documents? Please contact Jen Ritter to arrange a time to provide the documents in person at the District Service Center.

Once you have submitted your enrollment application it will be reviewed by District Service Center staff.

Upon approval, the District Service Center staff will notify the individual schools of new student registration(s). The schools will contact families directly to set up building tours, course registration, etc. Please allow time between the application date and enrollment start date for these steps to be completed. 

After the enrollment process is complete, Skyward Family Access is used to connect parents/guardians with real-time information regarding their student’s academic profile.

Scholarship Information

Registration for Preschool is through Skyward Family Access and our Enrollment Office. Please review the classes listed below and be prepared to indicate your top three choices when you complete your application. 

Skyward Family Access

Proof of Residency Options

1. On a computer/laptop, please log in to your Skyward Family Access account with the First Guardian’s credentials and select your preschool child’s name. 
    
2. Select ONLINE FORMS from the left hand column:
   1. Complete all information required in the form.
   2. Choose your top 3 section options for PreK  
      • Please note: you are not guaranteed your first choice
   3. Complete your $49 non-refundable registration fee 
   4. Make sure to return to Skyward to finish registration
      • Submit an updated proof of residency and immunization record.  These items need to be saved as jpg or pdf files.
        • Click for Proof of Residency options.
           
3. SUBMIT your registration

You will see a GREEN check mark stating Early Childhood Registration is complete.  School staff complete step 3 (enrollment) after reviewing your application. Please note: step 3 will not show a green check mark.
