About Early Childhood Screening

  • Early Childhood Screening

    • Screening is FREE for all families!
    • Children ideally complete screening between the ages of 3.5yrs - 4yrs.
    • Screening is required one time, prior to public kindergarten entrance.
    • There is no advantage in waiting for your child to be older when they are screened.
    • Scores correlate to the age the child is on the day they are screened.

Early Childhood Screening is a simple check of your child's development in:

    • social/emotional
    • language
    • motor
    • cognition skills
    • height, weight, vision, and hearing

Screening appointments take about 1 hour to complete and use the DIAL4 Developmental Screener and the ASQ: Ages and Stages Social/Emotional Questionnaire.
