Personal communication devices: away for the day
Sartell High School Students and Families:
We are excited for the 2026-2027 school year and have an important update regarding personal electronic communication devices (School Board Policy 524.5). This communication provides an overview of the policy and answers a few questions you may have.
Policy Overview
Cell phones and other personal electronic communication devices will be restricted from use during the school day from 8:40a-3:25p (Wednesdays between 9:15a-3:25p).
Items considered personal electronic communication devices are defined as: any personal device capable of connecting wirelessly to a cell phone, the internet, a cellular or Wi-Fi network, or directly connects to another similar device.
This includes:
- cell phones,
- wireless ear buds,
- smartwatches,
- smart glasses, etc.
