Congratulations to Isaac Knoernschild, a 6th grader at Sartell Middle School!

Isaac is one of nine competitors from the Midwest who qualified for a spot at the National History Bee’s 2022 Middle & Elementary School National Championships to be held in Orlando, Florida in June.

Sartell Middle School Principal Laura Arndt said, “We are so proud of Isaac and his accomplishments. On behalf of the whole school and the Sartell-St. Stephen community, we wish him good luck as he prepares and participates in this high level competition.”

After qualifying through an online test in February, Knoernschild recently advanced to the regional competition at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities where he competed in three preliminary rounds each consisting of 35 advanced level history questions. The national competition platform will consist of a live question and answer round.
