  • From the Health Office-Medications

    Dear Parent/Guardian(s):

The end of the school year is approaching!  If your child has medication stored in the health office (including prescription/non-prescription medication, EpiPen, diabetic supplies, etc.), an email with a medication form will be sent out on Friday, May 16th. Please check your spam folder to ensure you receive it.

In order for the nurse to send your child’s medications home on the last day of school, the form must be completed by Tuesday, May 27th.  If the form is not completed by this date, a parent or guardian will be expected to pick up the medication by 12:45 p.m. on the last day of school, May 30th. After that time, all remaining medications and supplies will be destroyed.

Please note that controlled medications (such as Ritalin, methylphenidate, Valtoco, Adderall, etc.) WILL NOT be sent home with students and must be picked up by a parent or guardian by 12:45 p.m. on May 30th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Thank you,

    Nurse Rachel

RIS STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP REMINDERS:

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

The safety of our students is our top priority. Please review the following important guidelines as we enter the final months of the school year:

    • Parent Drop-Off at Riverview:
      • Drop-off is allowed only on the west side (back) of the building.
      • Form a single file line with your vehicle.
      • Doors close promptly at 7:50 a.m.
    • Restricted Areas for Drop-Off:
      • Drop-off on the east side (front) of the building, including the bus chute and parking lot, is not permitted from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m.
      • This restriction is in place due to bus traffic and to ensure the safety of children crossing the area.
    • Parent Pick-Up:
      • Pick-up is conducted on the west side (back of the building), starting at 2:30 p.m.
    • 5th Grade Pick-Up:
      • For 5th grade students, pick-up is available on the south side (5th Street) beginning at 2:30 p.m.

We urge all drivers to exercise extra caution during their commutes, especially near schools and crosswalks. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to our students’ safety.
